Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com named the 2009 Honda Fit to its 2009 Top 10 Coolest Cars under $18,000 List[1]. The Fit impressed kbb.com with its low starting price, but it needed more than just affordability to join the cool clique. The kbb.com editors were blown away by the Fit’s numerous features, saying “…the fun, flexible Fit remains a sub-compact standout. It's also a good example of just how far subcompacts have come.”

With strong competition, the Fit needed to be efficient[1] and charming to please automotive critics. The overall package of the Fit wasn't overlooked, and Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com named the 2009 Fit one of its 2009 Top 10 Green Cars[2]. They said, "…the Honda Fit so handily outshines its competitors in our eyes that it's making the list again this year." Clearly, the 2009 Honda Fit is more than just another high-mileage[1] compact car, and Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com concurs.

In this year’s 10Best competition, Car and Driver said some pretty complimentary things about the 2009 Fit. They loved the interior’s design, roominess and details. And “[t]he best part is that Honda’s updates haven’t diluted this car’s warrior spirit at all…If there’s a better combination of thrift, practicality, and fun-to-drive, we haven’t seen it yet.”* It’s no wonder Car and Driver chose the Fit as a 10Best car for 2009.

Honda has a long history of environmental leadership, including the introduction of America's first mass produced hybrid, the Honda Insight, and the first vehicle to meet California’s low emission vehicle standards, well in advance of regulatory requirements. Acknowledgement of our commitment to innovation can be seen by Honda’s topping the rankings as the country’s greenest automaker by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)―for the fourth time in a row.*
