The CR-Z Exhaust Note Ring Tone

Most hybrid vehicles make a particular sound, or, rather, lack thereof. That’s not the case with the CR-Z. Despite the car’s hybrid chops it growls and revs more like a sports coupe than an “eco-mobile.” The CR-Z’s tuned exhaust note is something our engineers purposely developed and obsessively perfected. And we’re kind of proud of it. So we wanted to share it with you. While you can’t test drive the CR-Z and hear it purr from behind the wheel quite yet, you can have the throaty exhaust announce your next phone call, with the new CR-Z ring tone.

CR-Z boasts low emissions, nationwide.

We are proud to announce that the CR-Z is rated as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle (AT-PZEV) in states that adhere to California Air Resources Board (CARB) ZEV standards.

Although the CR-Z is not yet available to the public, a select few have been making the rounds with the press in the past few weeks for initial driving impressions. When the press first saw the car last January, most were pleased with its looks, but were skeptical about our claim that a hybrid could be fun to drive. Once members of the press actually got behind the wheel of the CR-Z, their doubts were often replaced by the pleasant realization that the CR-Z does, in fact, offer a unique and enjoyable driving experience. We’ll stop short of saying “we told you so,” but it’s nice to know that multiple third parties are pleased with what the CR-Z has to offer. Check out these early impressions.

Mr. Honda—Engineer, Innovator, Visionary.

Some have speculated that the CR-Z is creating so much buzz because it embodies old-school Honda qualities. But what are those classic Honda ideals anyway? The answer lies in the Honda's origin.
