We are proud to announce that the CR-Z is rated as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle (AT-PZEV) in states that adhere to California Air Resources Board (CARB) ZEV standards. Federal regulators have rated the CR-Z as Tier 2, Bin 2 in all states. AT-PZEV and Tier 2, Bin 2 are the cleanest ratings a vehicle with an internal-combustion engine can achieve. An AT-PZEV vehicle produces about 90-percent fewer smog-forming emissions than required of a typical new vehicle. The six-layer polyethylene composite fuel tank on the CR-Z provides zero-level evaporative emissions performance while also minimizing weight and increasing fuel capacity.
