The United Services Automobile Association (USAA)[1] named the 2012 CR-Z the Best Value in the coupe category. To determine its 2012 Best Value list, the experts at USAA identified the top vehicles in each category based on cost, safety and reliability. In addition, impressive fuel economy and affordable maintenance helped the CR-Z rise to the top.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the CR-Z a "2012 Top Safety Pick." IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in front and side crash tests, a rollover test, and evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. To earn Top Safety Pick for 2012, a vehicle must have good ratings in all four Institute tests.
Honda has won the first ever Edmunds.com Best Retained Value Award for Non-Luxury Brands. In addition, four Honda models won model-level 2011 Edmunds.com Best Retained Value Awards. Having a clear idea about a car's future resale value is an important part of the car-buying process, and Honda is proud to be recognized for how well our vehicles hold their value over time.
Honda has a history of environmental leadership dating back to a time when green was simply a color. Several decades later, we are proud to carry that tradition along, and be recognized as the country's Greenest Automaker by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)—for the fifth time in a row[1].
