A Lightning-Fast Charge
Arguably the most fascinating feature of the Accord Plug-In is how little time it takes to fully recharge. When the battery’s state of charge triggers the low state of charge indicator light, the Accord Plug-In can be fully recharged in less than three hours using a 120-volt[1] charger. And if you have access to a 240-volt, Level 2 charger, your Accord Plug-In can be fully charged in less than an hour.
Charging on the Go
The Accord Plug-In includes a J1772 compatible plug, which can be used in many public charging stations. Charging locations can be found on the navigation system[2] as well as via the Accord Plug-In smartphone app[3]. The US Dept. of Energy also includes an updated map with charging locations.
Plug in at Home
Honda has selected Leviton as the preferred supplier and installer of the optional 240 volt home charging station. Installing a home charging station is the best way to ensure the quickest charge time for Accord Plug-In. Leviton will obtain all the required permits from your local municipality before installing the system. Installation costs, including permitting fees, may vary depending upon your home charging station needs.
