The Honda Accord is J.D. Power and Associates' "Highest Ranked Midsize Car in Initial Quality" in their 2011 Initial Quality Study SM (IQS). The IQS named the highest performers within the first 90 days of vehicle ownership. Needless to say, an honor like this deserves a prime spot in the trophy case.

Honda Accord received the lowest number of problems per 100 vehicles among midsize cars in the proprietary J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Initial Quality StudySM. Study based on responses from 73,790 new-vehicle owners, measuring 234 models and measures opinions after 90 days of ownership. The 2011 Accord is the Edmunds.com "2011 Lowest Annual True Cost to Own® Sedan $20K-$30K". Edmunds.com used its proprietary TCO® data for the period July 29, 2010 to April 14, 2010 to develop the list of award winners[1].

The 2011 Accord Sedan earned a 5-star safety rating in each combined NCAP category[1]—quite an honor, especially given the new, more stringent standards enacted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The editors at Edmunds.com named the Accord Sedan a 2011 Top RecommendedSM vehicle. The 2011 Accord Sedan's strong reliability, excellent resale value and enormous rear seat impressed the team of auto experts at Edmunds.com. In their review of the 2011 Accord, they also appreciated the 2011 Accord Sedan's improved mpg[1], saying, "fuel economy is up thanks to revised aerodynamics plus tweaks to the engines and transmissions."
