201-hp, 2.4-liter, 16-valve, DOHC i-VTEC® Engine
Honda's 2.4-liter, dual-overhead camshaft NP2 engine produces 201 horsepower at 7000 rpm and 170 lb-ft of torque at a low 4400 rpm. This represents a 22.3 percent increase over the torque output of the previous generation Si's 2.0-liter engine and arrives at 1800 fewer rpms, resulting in even better acceleration and low-rpm response.
6-Speed Manual Transmission
The performance-oriented close-ratio 6-speed transmission is lightweight and compact, with a quick, precise shift action and solid, direct feel. Special features of this transmission include close gear ratios for first through fifth gears and a low final drive for faster acceleration, a stiff cast-aluminum transmission case for reduced noise, carbon-faced single cone synchronizers on fifth and sixth gears for enhanced shift feel, and a low-ratio sixth gear for quieter, more fuel-efficient[1] highway cruising.

Drive-by-Wire Throttle System

Instead of one simple shift light, six sequential lights indicate rising engine rpm. And as you near the top of the rev range, an i-VTEC® indicator also lights up, telling you that maximum horsepower is on its way.
