Urethane-Coated Utility Floor
The Element anticipates its many uses: from sports-gear transporter to adventure-seeking journeyer. So the floor surfaces are coated with urethane—a tough, nearly scratch- and puncture-proof material with an easy-to-clean finish. Electrical harness connectors above the floor were waterproofed and electronic components near the floor were raised above floor height to protect from water damage. (Nevertheless, do not hose out your Element.)
Water-Resistant FXC™ Seat Fabric
Enjoy a water-resistant fabric called FXC™, or Fabric for Extreme Conditions. The special five-layer fabric provides outstanding durability and protection so that water simply beads on the surface and wipes away easily. Ketchup, lipstick, sloshed coffee, renegade food crumbs or even pet spills are a worry of the past.
Center Console with Removable Cooler
New for 2009, all Element EX models come with a convenient center console. It’s designed to fit each individual driver’s needs. It’s removable, so that long items can still have generous storage space. Plus, it’s a cooler that comfortably carries your food or drink, CDs or more. Plus, a hidden storage tray under the beverage holders keeps valuables safe.
Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ with Voice Recognition and Rearview Camera
Planning a trip? Lost in the suburbs? Either way, the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™* is here to help. With eight gigabytes of memory and voice recognition, it provides convenient directions using a series of 24 global positioning satellites, plus 7 million points of interest.

Rearview Camera Display
All navigation* models are equipped with a rearview camera that enables the driver to view the area immediately behind the vehicle via a display integrated into the navigation screen. A small weatherproof camera is mounted on the tailgate. The camera feed will automatically display each time you shift the Element into reverse.

USB Audio Interface
Located in the glove compartment on all navigation models, Honda’s USB Audio Interface* can read flash drives loaded with MP3 or WMA®† music files. You can also plug in your compatible iPod®** to this port, which not only charges the device but allows it to be controlled using the interface dial on the head unit or steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

EX models feature a 270-watt AM/FM/CD audio system with seven speakers, a subwoofer and a standard connection to XM® Radio.* Plus, with an MP3/auxiliary input jack and Windows Media® Audio (WMA)† playback capability on every EX model, the Element can play a soundtrack for every trip.
