Active Front Head Restraints
In a sufficient rear-end impact, the active head restraints move forward and up, helping reduce and/or prevent neck injury.
Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) Body Structure
The ACE body structure incorporates a front-end frame structure that absorbs and disperses crash energy over a large area. ACE increases Odyssey passenger protection, and makes it more crash-compatible with vehicles of differing heights.
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) uses a special modulator to pulse the brakes to help prevent wheel lockup. This helps the driver retain steering control during hard braking. The Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) system balances the front/rear braking forces during dynamic loading.
Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
The Odyssey enhances its visibility to others by incorporating Daytime Running Lights (DRL) up front.
Dual-Stage Front Airbags (SRS)
In the event of a frontal impact, the dual-stage front airbags (SRS) inflate at different rates depending upon crash severity and seat belt use and are designed to help minimize the possibility of head and upper-body injuries.
Front Side Airbags with Passenger-Side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS)
In the event of a moderate-to-severe side impact, the side airbag inflates to help protect the driver’s or front passenger’s upper body. Plus the Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) utilizes sensors in the front passenger’s seatback to detect the height and seating position of the occupant. If a child or small-statured adult is leaning into the deployment path of the side airbag, sensors deactivate it.
Three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor
The side curtain airbag module is positioned along the side of the headliner. In the event of a sufficient side impact or rollover, this system will activate to help provide protection for front and rear outboard occupants.
Electronic Brake Distribution System (EBD)
Part of the braking system, EBD is a more exacting method of ensuring that proportionate braking forces are applied to the brakes. In order to avoid needless ABS cycling during a non-emergency stop, EBD uses the ABS sensors to detect impending rear-wheel lockup. Then it signals an additional ABS solenoid to reduce braking force to the rear and add more to the front.
Front 3-Point Seat Belts with Automatic Tensioning System
Front 3-point seat belts with automatic tensioners ride across the lap and chest to help restrain occupants during sudden stops or impact.
Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH)
All seats are equipped with 3-point seat belts. Three of the rear seats feature the Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren (LATCH) mounting system for use with compatible child seats.
Michelin® PAX® System Run-Flat Technology
With the Michelin PAX System available on the Odyssey Touring, you can still travel on a punctured tire at 50 mph up to 125 miles. Its specially designed larger wheels contain a flexible support ring and low-profile tires that even enhance handling. This feature works with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which monitors the pressure in all four tires and alerts the driver before pressure loss in any tire becomes significantly low. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
This system monitors the pressure in all four tires, and alerts the driver before pressure loss in any tire becomes significantly low. On the Touring model, the Multi-Information Display indicates exactly which tire has low pressure.*

*For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge. Do not rely solely on the monitor system. See your local Honda dealer for details.
Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with Traction Control
Working with ABS and the Drive-by-Wire™ throttle system, VSA enhances stability by detecting oversteer or understeer, and by then braking individual wheels and/or reducing throttle to help restore the driver’s intended path of travel.
