The Civic Natural Gas is living proof that we have alternatives to the current dependence on foreign oil.
Next to Nothing
The Civic Natural Gas does not use gasoline, and received an AT-PZEV[3] rating. Imagine driving around knowing that what you’re putting into the air is less harmful than that of many other cars out there.
Don’t Stop There
You might think we'd stop at creating a vehicle that doesn’t use any gasoline and is rated at 38 mpg on the highway[1]. But at Honda we’re always looking for ways to go that extra mile—literally. So the Civic Natural Gas incorporates buzz-worthy technology like
Eco Assist[2] and the
ECON button[2] so you have every advantage out on the road.
Working Together
Clean Cities is a U.S. Department of Energy program that advances the nation’s economic, environmental and energy security by supporting local actions to reduce petroleum consumption in transportation. A national network of nearly 100 Clean Cities bring together both public and private sectors to adopt alternative and renewable fuels, idle-reduction measures, fuel-efficiency improvements and emerging transportation technologies. American Honda is a strong supporter of the Clean Cities program, participating as a national partner with the DOE and a local member of many of the coalitions. Click
