The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has given the Honda Element the top rating in its new roof-strength test (awarded 03/24/09. www.iihs.org).
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded the 2010 Element a five star frontal- and 5-star side-impact crash safety rating (its highest rating for crash safety)[1]. Every Element comes standard with a full array of safety features including anti-lock braking (ABS) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), plus six airbags, including side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor.

[1] Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov). Models tested with standard side-impact airbags (SABs).
Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com has honored Honda with its 2009 Best Resale Value Award in the Brand category. Individual Honda models—the Odyssey, CR-V, Fit and the entire Civic family—also won this prestigious award in separate categories.

Projected resale value is specific to the 2009 model year. For more information, go to Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com. Kelley Blue Book is a registered trademark of Kelley Blue Book Co., Inc.
Honda has a long history of environmental leadership, including the introduction of America's first mass produced hybrid, the Honda Insight, and the first vehicle to meet California’s low-emission vehicle standards, well in advance of regulatory requirements. Acknowledgment of our commitment to innovation can be seen by Honda’s topping the rankings as the country’s greenest automaker by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS)―for the fourth time in a row[2].
