Considering the Fit EV's impressive range rating[1], you'd think it would require a long charge time. But remarkably, the 6.6 kW onboard charger is capable of recharging a battery in as little as three hours from a low-charge indicator illumination point when using a 240-volt circuit. Fit EV drivers can program when the charger turns on and off using either the Multi-Information Display or the smartphone app[2]. This is especially useful when you want to take advantage of an electric company’s off-peak hours. Charging can also be initiated or stopped using the remote.
Out and About
The Fit EV includes a J1772 compatible plug, which can be used in many public charging stations. And since the vast majority of trips Americans make are well under the Fit EV's EPA combined driving-range rating (adjusted) of 82 miles[1], you could even plug in at, say, your local grocery store and top off your battery while you shop. Charging locations can be found on the standard navigation system[3] as well as the Fit EV smartphone app[2]. The government also includes an updated map with charging locations that can be seen
