High gas prices. Concern for the environment. There are a lot of reasons to consider driving a hybrid vehicle. Now there’s one more: affordability. Honda is proud to introduce yet another hybrid milestone: an affordable hybrid for the real world.
The Honda hybrid of the future benefits from a solid history of hybrid know-how. Honda announced the very first mass production hybrid model for the U.S. and Europe in 1999, and hybrid versions of the popular Civic and Accord models quickly followed.
Our newest hybrid is a futuristic five-door hatchback that sports a unique style and sleek design inspired by the
FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle. It is powered by a new lighter weight and efficient Integrated Motor Assist IMA® system that offers a spirited ride, with plenty of amenities.
A great deal of thought went into the design of this new hybrid. For example, smaller internal components allow for more space where you need it most—in the cabin and cargo areas. Additionally, various technologies, including a system to assist more fuel- efficient driving, are being installed to further increase practical fuel efficiency.
This new hybrid vehicle will be the least expensive hybrid on the market in its class and will be available starting in early 2009. Welcome to the next era of transportation.
