Before I turn 50, I want to...
1.
Compete in a triathlon with my daughter.
I've got nine years before I'm 50, so I think we should have no problem marking this one off the list before then!
February 02 11:25 PM
There's nothing more inspiring at the end of a race than your little girl cheering you on to the finish line!
February 02 11:24 PM
I'm thrilled that my three year old wants to race with me one day! The great thing about the CRV is that it can hold all the gear to race in one vehicle!
February 02 11:23 PM
I have competed in a few sprint triathlons with my daughter watching me and she is very keen on joining me one day...

2.
Drive the Dalton Highway to Deadhorse, Alaska.
I like the idea of being able to fold down the rear seat and sleep in the CR-V because a trip like this I wouldn't want to bother with setting up a tent. If you do the trip in the summer (recommended) the mosquitos will eat you alive and if you do the trip in the winter (crazy) the cold will turn you into a popsicle.

I have only flown to Deadhorse for work but I have spoken with several adventurers who have braved the same path as the "Ice Road Truckers" to make it as far north as you can drive in the United States. The journey seems like a rite of passage, but not for one with a wimpy vehicle. It's hundreds of miles of crappy dirt road, no service stations, no communities and very few people. This is one trek perfectly suited for the Honda CR-V!

3.
Go an a safari in Africa.
It was great to see Hondas on the road in South Africa too!
February 02 10:48 PM
This would be fun to see out the window of a Honda!
February 02 10:45 PM
Took a lot of dreaming, planning and saving but we finally got to South Africa!

4.
Teach my daughter to swim.
My daughter is still taking swim lessons and now I lap swim while she's with her instructor. It's fun seeing her learn while I'm training for my next triathlon... I hope I can 'inspire' her when she's old enough to compete.
February 27 12:23 AM
It's taken a lot of patience, but at 3 years old my daughter can jump in the pool and swim back to the side as well as swim 5-10 feet between her daddy and me!
February 02 11:47 PM
We started your swim lessons at 3 months old...
January 05 12:56 AM
5.
Climb Mt. McKinley.
At 15,000 feet on the highest mountain in North America; Denali "The Great One".
February 02 11:10 PM
A lot of fun is had in Alaska off the road system, but if you don't have a reliable SUV to get you to the trailhead then you can't get very far.
February 02 11:08 PM
Made it to 17,200ft before 60mph winds drove our team back. It was soooo worth the struggle just to get that far. What an amazing mountain!
January 05 12:42 AM
6.
Fly the Iditarod Sled Dog Race trail in my own airplane.
I can't tell you how many times I've wished for a Honda CR-V to be waiting for me at the end of a long flight. At least I'm sure it would start in the cold winter temperatures... more than I can say for a lot of other SUVs.
February 03 12:07 AM
I seriously could have used a CR-V in this snow! My airplane doesn't have All Wheel Drive.
February 02 11:06 PM
CR-Vs can go just about anywhere you want to go... as long as you have a road system. For everything else we use our airplanes in Alaska.
February 02 11:03 PM
Aviation is huge in Alaska and my husband and I use our airplanes as SUVs with wings. Can you throw a pair of wings on a CR-V?
February 02 11:01 PM
It was a dream of mine to fly the 1000 mile sled dog race in my own airplane. Finally got it done!
February 02 10:22 PM
7.
Be Mrs. Alaska-America and compete for Mrs. America.
Furs and totem poles, what is more Alaskan than that!?
February 03 12:04 AM
Me skiing with my daughter in a charity race. My daughter was in the backpack!
February 03 12:03 AM
Evening gown competition for Mrs. America.
February 03 12:02 AM
The swimsuit competition for Mrs. America.
February 03 12:01 AM
Alaska State Costume for the Mrs. America Pageant. Our state sport is dog mushing.
February 03 12:00 AM
Me and my Mr. Alaska!
February 02 11:59 PM
My mother was Mrs. Alaska-America 1980 and I always wanted to follow in her footsteps. She set such a wonderful example for me growing up.
January 05 12:54 AM
It took three tries, but I became Mrs. Alaska-America in 2009 and went on to Tuscon, AZ to compete in the 2009 Mrs. America Pageant. What an honor.

8.
Upgrade my SUV from 2 to 4 doors.
I finally went to Continental Honda here in Alaska and checked out the CR-V for myself. Very impressive. I like the fold-down seat arrangement for the rear seats. The new look of the SUV is really cool, I like the fog lights and front grille design. There are a lot of CR-Vs in Alaska, but not that many used ones for sale... I guess that tells me that people are happy with them and are keeping them for a long time. That's a good sign! I began my car ownership with rebuilding a 1978 Honda Civic an
February 27 12:24 AM
Not sure my back can handle much more of buckling up my baby girl in the back seat of a two door SUV! Need to seriously look at a four-door SUV with decent gas mileage.
February 27 12:24 AM
9.
Pay off the mortgage.
Like everyone with a mortgage, we're working on it! We're not taking on any new debt until it is paid off. This is why we're hanging on to our old vehicles and hoping that a small miracle happens and we win a Honda CR-V!
February 27 12:25 AM
10.
Go rock climbing
I just took my 3 1/2 year old to the indoor rock gym and she's a natural! Maybe we'll get a climbing trip in with her one day... hopefully I'll be able to keep up!
February 27 12:26 AM
My boyfriend at the time and I went to Red Rocks Nevada for our first big wall climbs... what an adventure. He PROPOSED TO ME while we were hanging from a rock face!!! We've been happily married for almost 9 years.
February 02 10:29 PM
Congratulations! Now make sure you attach a photo/video and ‘Share to Facebook’ so all your friends will know how cool you are.
