I thought after the Big Climb my legs must be in pretty good shape.... well the other night I did a few sets of lunges, jumping jacks and abs... couldn't walk for two days after!! It is so funny how muscles tighten up so quickly when they are not in constant use. I am all recovered now and ready to keep building those muscles!!

Training for this climb taught me how hard stair climbing is and what a great work out it can be! I have continued to do stairs as it will keep me in shape and ready for hiking season and biking!

My future In-Laws rockin' the pink tutus before the Climb! I feel like the luckiest girl on the planet to be gaining these two as parents and that handsom young man as my husband! Our team had the best outfits by far and we raised over $12,000 for The Leukemia

I did it, I did it!!! Pictures to come! Our pink flamingo outfits turned out great and our team definitely made the biggest impression! It was so much fun and such a great accomplishment to make it to the top! We had people on our team as young as 7 years old and as old as 70... How wonderful is that? I love it!!

My boss was out of town last week and at the end of the week when she came back a gentleman I work closely with gave me the first compliment I have ever heard come out of his mouth! It was very exciting to hear him say nice things about how hard I worked while she was out of town!!

I was asked at work to plan a tour of another facility for our entire team as well as a few other teams. I successfully planned and executed the tour and now I am working on planning another tour for our team. I was also recently asked to be a part of leading our group to better ourselves, award one another more often so everyone feels appreciated, work on communication and improve on areas we felt that we needed improvement. It is nice to be apart of things tasks at work!

I have been running more and more lately. Even went out and bought a new pair of kicks yesterday... Much needed but so expensive for a good pair of running shoes. They are needed though to prevent injuries!!

Now that I am done training on stairs for the Big Climb I decided to start running again!! I went for my first great outdoor run in months two nights ago and boy did it feel good!! I found a new loop in my neighborhood and it has 4 hills - needless to say it has hurt to walk ever since my run! Gotta love the burn after a good workout!

Found a few people to complete this 1/2 Marathon with me. Sometimes all you need is someone to do it with you and then the impossible seems very possible! We will push each other to the finish line!!

Complete the STP for the first time! The CR-V would come in use when taking road trips to ride new bike trails all over Washington, Idaho and Canada! Not to mention my bike would look great on the back!

Took such a great ride the other day! I am seeing more and more of the beautiful State I live in by taking all of these long bikes rides. We are so blessed to live in this area! Other than getting cut off by a kid on a scooter and crashing, we had a wonderful 46 mile bike ride!

Oh and I had my chain fall off for the first time on my new bike in the middle of a huge hill! No biggie, I managed to unclip real quick pull off the road and slip the chain back on! Great practice for the STP!

We rode 60 miles last weekend through the tulip fields and the daffodil fields! It was a beautiful day. We saw Hawks, Eagles, Cows, Lots of flowers, a Deer and even a whale!

We found a class online today that REI is offering to get us prepared for the STP. The class is full for this month so we hope to take it in early May! There is also a bike maintenance class that we found and hope to take so that we are all individually prepared for anything that may come; flat tire, loose chain etc. I will be fully prepped and ready for anything!

Now that the Big Climb is over, its on to strictly bike training. Goal: Ride my bike or a bike trainer at least two to three times a week but hit the gym 5 days a week. Lift and work out abs 4 days a week! Here goes nothing... Oh I also want to start tracking my progress, eating, and workouts!

I rode 28 miles this weekend with the group I am doing the STP with! We also all registered so it is OFFICIAL!! We are doing this thing a week - YES, ONE WEEK BEFORE OUR WEDDING!!! 200 mile bike ride here I come and fitting into my wedding dress... well I sure think after a 200 miles bike ride I will be fitting into it!!

Write hand written letters to 10 friends or family members that I don't get to see as often as I would like in order to stay in touch and remind them how much I appreciate our friendship!

I was fortunate enough to receive wonderful customer service the other day while shopping for my honeymoon, dresses for my showers and rehearsal dinner so I wrote a letter to that particular store manager to express my appreciation for his staff! I hope the letter gets passed along to the fabulous gals that helped me last week!

Wrote my 10th letter to one of my best friends today. Her birthday is this weekend and I wanted to let her know how extra special she is to me. I am so lucky to have her in my life, and especially to have her as my Matron of Honor for my wedding this July! She has been a huge help to me lately and I am so appreciative of her.

Climb Mail Box Peak - for the second time. The first time when I got about 100 feet from the top we were in 3 feet of snow and it was no longer safe to continue up the mountain. I have always wanted to return and make it to the mailbox!

This weekend is my birthday and I have been debating what I want to do. I think what I would LOVE to do is go for a nice long hike and I am leaning toward doing this hike! I need to research and see what the conditions of the trail is so that I am prepared and safe and know what to expect. There could be snow up there again! Hoping for sunshine for my birthday weekend!!

I have yet to complete this but I am sooo excited to do so before our wedding. Once I feel my legs are up for it and we get some more sun, I will be hitting this trail head! I could really use the CR-V to help get me to the trail head safely though as my car and the road to this trail do not get along!

This was our most recent hike! At the very top there is a look out hut that you can climb up a ladder to get to! It was a beautiful day and you could see for miles! We <3 Mt. Pilchuck!

Summit and I played chase on the snow pack! He is a true Washington dog - he loves the snow! Good thing because when when do Mailbox Peak there will definitely be snow at the top, but hopefully less than the last time I set out for the top!

Here is Lake 22 - One of my favorite hikes in Northern Washington! It is so fun to get to the top and see families having picnics, dog frolicking through the water, and others simply soaking in the sun and beautiful scenery!

As I will not be able to get to the Grand Canyon before July I would like to at least book a trip with my family to the Grand Canyon to float down the river and take hikes along the way! My father and I have been talking about doing this for two years! I can't wait to experience the paradise of the Grand Canyon!!

Improve my photography skills. I bought myself a SLR camera a few years ago because photography is a huge passion of mine and it is my escape when I am overwhelmed or stressed. I like to take drives in search of exquisite scenery or wild life. I am not an expert by any means and do not know much about photography other than loving it as a hobby. I would love to learn more and improve my skills!

Got some great shots of friends and family yesterday with my camera at my Bridal Shower! It is easy to forget to capture gatherings like that but I always love it when I remember. I just finished editing the photos from the shower and they turned out GREAT!!

Last weekend we had a WHALE in the bay of our beach house!!! In the 22 years our family has owned that house I have only seen a Whale in that area once!! It was a beautiful sight to see and I took a lot of pictures! I felt so lucky to whitness the rare occasion!

Scott and I went Sea Kayaking off Friday Harbor in the San Juans. Our dream is to take our own handmade Kayaks back up there and take our own adventure! The day we went we saw hundreds of whales, light houses and many eagles. It was one of the best days we have shared together!

There is a section in our ceremony called "Minister Humor" where our minister discusses the answers to a few questions we each privately gave our officiant. On one of our many adventures, this one in Idaho for a bike trip. We went with Scott (my fiance, who is in the picture - yes he gave me permission to post this) and his parents. We rode two days, and went white water rafting another day. We could have used a new CR-V to get us and our bikes to Idaho safely! I love taking adventures with my best friend and soon to be husband!
