There are memories behind every mile in a Honda, and we’d love to hear yours. If your odometer has reached a notable milestone, this is the place to share your journey with others who have done the same. Congratulations—not every Honda travels 100,000 miles and beyond. The stories here don’t represent the average expectancy of every Honda. Everyone’s experience is different based on vehicle, driving manner and conditions.

I bought my Accord in September of 1982. I had never owned a new car before and I was quite excited to have a car without someone else's dings, dents, scratches, or faded paint. I planned to keep it 10 years and to maintain it in as-new condition. Well, 24 years later I still have my Accord and it is in near showroom condition. It's biggest downfall was the two years during which my daughjter drove it to high school. A high school parking lot is no place for car preservation! Well, it survived with a few dings, but otherwise in good order. My daughter nick-named it the "Murf" and it was the butt of jokes among her friends, most of whom had newer cars. Recently, I've noticed the car gets a lot of looks and many compliments. My wife, who has never really liked its manual steering, has even warmed up to it as she has found the car to be quite the "guy magnet". My daughter is even excited about the car and is now proud to say she once drove my "classic Honda". This past October I entered it in the Long Beach Japanese Classic Car Show and it won first in its class. My car even drew the attention of Barry Meguiar, who interviewed me and my wife for an episode of Car Crazy. I believe any car (but especially a Honda) that is regularly garaged, kept clean and waxed, and given regular mechanical maintenance can last a lifetime and beyond. And, I plan to prove this with my '83 Accord.

Wow, that car looks great! I bought mine in January of 1983 and had to give it up in 2001. It had almost 200,000 miles on it! LIke you, it was my first new car and I really miss it. I used to get almost 40 MPG with it.
