Got my hybrid new in Nov. 04, with 16 miles on it. I drive 150 miles per day to work and back. It has never been in the repair shop. I change the oils and filters as scheduled. I've put tires, a regular battery and some wiper blades on it. That is all. I will probably put brakes on it soon.

Of the 75 miles I drive to work 60 are interstate. Even though the miles per gallon have dropped off a little to about 44miles per gallon, for the first 150,000 the miles per gallon between oil changes was consistently between 49 and 51.

The question I get all the time is how long the hybrid battery will last, and how much does it cost? My answer: I don't know, it's still working beautifully.
