Hot Wheels Civic Si
Torrance, Calif.
October 31, 2005
Mattel is probably responsible for more enthusiasts being bitten by the car
bug than anybody else, thanks to its Hot Wheels line of micro-sized cars. This
full-sized Hot Wheels Civic Si is designed to make you want to play just as
much, just not on mom's living room rug. The engine is customized with
a prototype Turbonetics turbo system, with a Spearco intercooler. It also boasts
a Nitrous Express fogger system. The exterior is modified with Tein springs
that lower the car over its Momo FXL wheels and BF Goodrich tires, a custom
PPG paint job and a Hot Wheels/JCP Metal GT wide body kit. The interior features
Momo seats, pedals, shift knob and boot, and a Momo Trek steering wheel with
a quick release hub. The stock audio components were replaced with a Kicker
system and Clarion head unit, and the door panels are customized with Hot Wheels
suede inserts.
