The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the Ridgeline a "2012 Top Safety Pick." IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in front and side crash tests, a rollover test, and evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. To earn Top Safety Pick for 2012, a vehicle must have good ratings in all four Institute tests.
The 2011 Ridgeline is the Edmunds.com "2011 Lowest Annual True Cost to Own® Large Light Duty Truck". Edmunds.com used its proprietary TCO® data for the period July 29, 2010 to April 14, 2010 to develop the list of 2011 award winners[1].
