In Charge
Standard on every Ridgeline is a complement of advanced safety systems to help keep you out of trouble and in command. Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) helps sense oversteer or understeer in an emergency situation, and then adjusts brake pressure at each wheel and/or reduces engine power to help restore driver control and keep you on course. Beefy 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS), along with Brake Assist, allows full braking force for authoritative stopping. And for better road composure, the Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) helps balance braking forces and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)† alerts the driver when a tire’s air pressure reaches a significantly low level.
Sturdy Structure
Designed to be highly rigid for enhanced crash protection, The Ridgeline has a tough backbone that incorporates an integrated closed-box frame and a reinforced unit-body. The result is a robust truck that provides a very low chance of rollover and exceptional safety ratings in its class.
Expanding Protection
While sharing our roads with many other drivers, a time may arise where collision is unavoidable. For superior defense during impact, Ridgeline occupants are surrounded by no less than six airbags. The array of coverage includes dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor—all standard. New for 2009, the Ridgeline includes active front head restraints.
