Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) in the Ridgeline benefits from a 4-channel design, so each wheel is controlled individually. Brake Assist helps apply maximum braking in emergency situations. And Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) varies the braking force at each wheel—helpful when hauling uneven loads.
Dual-Stage, Multiple-Threshold Front Airbags (SRS)
The vehicle is equipped with dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags (SRS). One or both of these airbags will be deployed only in the event of a sufficient frontal impact. If deployed, these airbags are capable of being inflated at different rates, depending on crash severity, seat-belt usage and other factors. Front airbags are designed to supplement the seat belts to help reduce the likelihood of head and upper body injuries in frontal collisions.
Front Side Airbags with Passenger-Side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS)
In the event of a moderate-to-severe side impact, the side airbag inflates to help protect the driver's or front passenger's upper body. The Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) utilizes sensors in the front passenger's seatback to detect the height and seating position of the occupant. If a child or small-statured adult is leaning into the deployment path of the side airbag, sensors deactivate it.
Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren (LATCH)
Three Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren (LATCH) child-seat mounting positions are built into the rear seats. The LATCH system utilizes both the upper child-seat tether anchors and dedicated lower-anchor points built into the body of the vehicle to help ensure correct mounting of a compatible child seat.
Side Curtain Airbags with Rollover Sensor
Designed to deploy from the headliner, the side curtain airbag inflates in a fraction of a second, and stays inflated for up to 4 seconds. This increases the level of protection for outboard passengers in the event of a rollover or significant side impact.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Standard on the Ridgeline, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) tells the driver when a tire is significantly underinflated. Air-pressure sensors inside special valve stems in each of the four tires send signals to a monitoring unit mounted in the rear of the vehicle that relays the current air-pressure status to the display. If the air pressure of any tire is significantly low, the system will automatically alert the driver via the information display.
 For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge. Do not rely solely on the monitor system. Please see your Honda dealer for details.
Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA®) with traction control
This sophisticated device aids the driver in retaining control if side slippage is detected. When the driver is cornering or must make a sudden maneuver, the system may engage if traction loss is detected.
 VSA is not a substitute for safe driving. It cannot correct the vehicle's course in every situation or compensate for reckless driving. Control of the vehicle always remains with the driver.
Driver's and Front Passenger's Active Head Restraints
In a sufficient rear impact, the front active head restraints move forward and up in a fraction of a second, helping reduce the likelihood of neck injury.
Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
Visibility of the Ridgeline to other drivers is enhanced by the Ridgeline's Daytime Running Lights (DRL).
