Team Honda Research Acura TL

Torrance, Calif. October 31, 2005

Winning the 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race is no easy feat. Doing it in a nearly stock luxury sedan is almost unheard of. But that's what Team Honda Research did in December of 2004. Built and driven by members of Honda R&D Americas, the TL was largely stock. Modifications included a custom exhaust header from Prototype Engineering, and exhaust system aluminum flywheel and heavy-duty clutch from Comptech, and custom springs and shocks from H&R Special Springs. The Progress Group supplied an adjustable rear anti-roll bar. The lightly modified TL won its class, finishing 49 laps ahead of the second place car, and came in third overall.
