Car and Driver magazine worked with King Motorsports, the exclusive distributor for Mugen in the United States, to enhance the power, handling and braking of its 2005 RSX Type-S for the RSX Challenge. A Comptech Supercharger, Hondata K-Pro ECU, RC Engineering fuel injectors and Mugen intake and exhaust increase horsepower, while Moton adjustable dampers, Mugen bushings and anti-roll bars and King Motorsports Competition springs work with various JDM parts for razor-sharp handling. Aerodynamics are augmented with Mugen's adjustable carbon fiber rear wing and body kit, while the interior makes extensive use of carbon fiber to reduce weight.
