I purchased my 2001 S2000 in November of 2004. At that time, it only had 26k miles on it. I'm now at 107k, and the motor runs better now than when I picked it up. This car is my daily driver, as well as my weekend racecar. I've yet to suffer any mechanical failures in this car, a testament to the superb engineering and quality of construction that goes into these absolutely wonderful machines. I have no doubt that this car will easily double it's current mileage without any trouble. Just like any other Honda, if you perform the required regular maintenance, your car will reward you with years of flawless performance. I tach out my car to 9000 rpm several times each and every day, and I don't worry about it in the very least. A few carefully planned aftermarket parts only serve to enhance this car's powerband and amazing level of performance...Individual throttle bodies, an aftermarket ecu to optimize the fuel and timing, a vented hood for better underhood heat circulation, and a fastback hardtop to improve high speed aerodynamics. Everything else is stock, and I doubt I'll be changing much else. Our fathers tell us of the cars that they wish they'd have kept. Well, it's my turn now, and I'm keeping this car forever. I'll post again when I'm at 500,000 miles :)
