There are memories behind every mile in a Honda, and we’d love to hear yours. If your odometer has reached a notable milestone, this is the place to share your journey with others who have done the same. Congratulations—not every Honda travels 100,000 miles and beyond. The stories here don’t represent the average expectancy of every Honda. Everyone’s experience is different based on vehicle, driving manner and conditions.

First; I am a life-long Honda family, going back to when my parents first bought each other a 1984 Accord and Prelude (I have pix but no cars anymore), and my Uncle had a 1979 Civic ! Since that time I have a new CRV which we also love.

Working for Boeing, I bought a 1994 Del Sol for the fabulous days in Seattle when the sun does shine. At a 35,000 mile/yr pace (typical for WA) I could not watch what the elements and everything were doing. So.. It is retired where it outght to be; in the "sol" of Arizona. Now it enjoys a life of only about 3,000 miles/yr and in 10 years I can get "historic plates" - can you believe it?

I can send more Photos after next Car Wash

First however; I found my Del Sol to have some scientic value in my field. Working in the area of Sound Quality a visiting professor from the University of Michigan noted how sound and brand are tied hand in hand. Comparable (but not in an annoying way) to how the Harley Davidson motorcycle has its sound, people have statistically associated with the engine-starting sound the older generation Civics, Preludes and Accords made with "quality". Should not be a surprise to you folks. Since I had a Del Sol (a civic) it was a perfect example !

BTW - I miss the DelSol and Prelude. I hope Honda finds their way to restart these fabulous brands !

I have had the following Honda products and loved them all, obviously. 1973 1300CC Civic, 1975 1500 CVCC Civic, 1984 Prelude, 1986 Prelude Si, 1989 Accord EX, 1993 del Sol Si, 2000 Acura LT, 2001 S2000. My favorites, in order is: S2000 (no contest), 1986 Prelude Si. The 1986 Prelude was probably the best balance of all. Performance and comfort and quietness that welcomed classical music. Did you know T. Boone Pickens drives a Honda Civic NG? Smart man!
