First; I am a life-long Honda family, going back to when my parents first bought each other a 1984 Accord and Prelude (I have pix but no cars anymore), and my Uncle had a 1979 Civic ! Since that time I have a new CRV which we also love.
Working for Boeing, I bought a 1994 Del Sol for the fabulous days in Seattle when the sun does shine. At a 35,000 mile/yr pace (typical for WA) I could not watch what the elements and everything were doing. So.. It is retired where it outght to be; in the "sol" of Arizona. Now it enjoys a life of only about 3,000 miles/yr and in 10 years I can get "historic plates" - can you believe it?
I can send more Photos after next Car Wash
First however; I found my Del Sol to have some scientic value in my field. Working in the area of Sound Quality a visiting professor from the University of Michigan noted how sound and brand are tied hand in hand. Comparable (but not in an annoying way) to how the Harley Davidson motorcycle has its sound, people have statistically associated with the engine-starting sound the older generation Civics, Preludes and Accords made with "quality". Should not be a surprise to you folks. Since I had a Del Sol (a civic) it was a perfect example !
BTW - I miss the DelSol and Prelude. I hope Honda finds their way to restart these fabulous brands !
