There are memories behind every mile in a Honda, and we’d love to hear yours. If your odometer has reached a notable milestone, this is the place to share your journey with others who have done the same. Congratulations—not every Honda travels 100,000 miles and beyond. The stories here don’t represent the average expectancy of every Honda. Everyone’s experience is different based on vehicle, driving manner and conditions.

I saw an ad in a magazine in late 1991...a new model Honda that boasted about its fuel mileage. I test drove a red Civic VX in February 1992, and came home with it that day. On the very first long road trip I took, the car got 53 mpg over 1000+ miles of driving. That was 15 years ago, and the car still gets 43 mpg per tank of gas. I cannot think of anything else to write at the moment in praise of this car, and I don't have any specific photos...yet. She needs a paint job and some TLC, but I plan on giving her to my son when he turns 16 in two years. Thanks Honda for proving that an impressive car doesn't need to be big or fast or run on some funky kind of fuel!

I also have a 1993 Civic VX. Mine has over 218K mines on it. I still regularly get over 50MPG with it - you should be able to as well. If you are down to 43 MPG (almost 20%), you must need a tune up, tires inflated, and/or something else. Give it some care and you should get much better mileage.

I have a 1991 Accord and I love it! Does this model have a timing belt or a chain?

I too own a 92 Civic VX. It is without a doubt, the best car we have ever owned. Uses no oil, gets 43 MPG. Wish they still made them. Wife just bought 08 Hybird. Darn, now she'll get better mileage. Did I tell you it has 321,000 miles? I have to see how long it will go! I'll have to get a picture and join the club!
