Well I have 2 Hondas in my stable, and both have 'been around the block' a few times. One is my car, a 1989 Accord LX-i sedan, and the other my sportbike, a 2004 CBR 600 F4i. The Accord is currently at 382,326 miles, and the CBR is at 111,370 (and it just turned 3 years old 3 weeks ago too!).
The Accord my mom purchased used from the original owner in 1997 with 140k miles. I got it in 2000 with 253k miles after she had a minor accident. I fixed up the damage and have been driving it since, about 7 years now and put on about 130k more absolutely trouble free miles. Still runs like a brand new car, everything works including the A/C, still drives great! Never once let me down or left me stranded, and I still trust it to drive anywhere. I recently drove it from south florida to north georgia towing a trailer with my bike on it... about 900 miles at 80 mph with a trailer and not a single problem! All original motor and 5 spd trans, original clutch replaced at 321k. Normal stuff like CV joints every now and then, nothing major. Everybody keeps asking me "when are you gonna get a new car??". But I just can't seem to get rid of this one, it just runs too good, and no car payment. Over the past 10 years this car has taken me from Minnesota to Key West, Florida, and from Ohio to Colorado, and everywhere in between without even so much as a hiccup.
The CBR I bought brand new 10-17-04 with only 3 miles on the odometer. Soon after I bought it I was obsessed. I found myself riding the bike everyday, and the car was getting used less and less. I use the bike for my daily commute to work, as well as many roadtrips on the weekends, and racked up just over 111k miles over the past 3 years. It's taken me from the Florida Keys up to Chicago, Illinois and everywhere in between, 12 states so far! With the gas prices the way they are, 40-45 mpg is VERY nice!! No problems, still runs and rides like brand new!!
I love my Hondas!!! Can't go wrong here!
