I wish I had known about this website before I sold the Prelude. I no longer own it but it was certainly a part of me for a long period of time. My Prelude was a 2000 base 5 speed manual I bought in December of 1999. In the dead of a Cleveland winter blizzard. Who buys sports cars in winter? Me! lol! But it was my first brand new car, I bought it when I was 22. Crystal Blue Metallic with black interior. I added the Honda spoiler and fog light accessories, and also a cold air intake with performance air filter. The H22A4 engine was one of the best, if not THE best, engines that Honda has ever made. It was well engineered, extremely high performance for the time (200 hp @ 7000 RPM, red line at 7200 RPM), and even this day that H22A4 is a revered and sought after engine. This was the car that got me through my 20s and through into my early 30s. I owned it until May of 2010 when I was 33. I sold it with 221,000 miles, and every single one of those miles was mine. The factory clutch lasted 170,000 and still would have probably been in there had I not done one too many 5,000 RPM clutch drops and popped out the tension springs lol! There was still easily 20,000 miles of friction left on the disc. It never leaked, always started on the first crank, and idled silently. This car had go-kart laser sharp steering, a slick gear shift, and it was sooooo much fun to drive! I miss it, but its DNA is now in my current car which I bought new in 2009, my Accord V6 6MT coupe! The picture shows my Prelude with her younger cousin, the Accord!
