In the year 2000 my parents bought a 2000 Honda Accord with the idea in mind that someday it would be my first car. I was 12 when they bought the car and I had no idea that someday that the Accord would not only be my car but also my best friend. I remember turning 16 and getting behind the wheel of the Accord ,which I decided needed a name, so I called him Takun. From that first mile to now he has been with me every step of the way. Every major milestone in my life my car was there. He was there for my High School prom when I didn't have a date, he was there for my High School graduation (where he even had the chance to wear my cap!), and most recently he was there for my graduation from Pharmacy School. Over the years we have driven from state to state on countless road trips to visit family and friends. I have never had him breakdown on me but I have broken down on him, he was there for me when my grandmother died, when I cried alone in my car. Some people might think I'm crazy for loving this car like I do but when someone or something is always there for you no matter what, you can't help but love them. Takun sits in my driveway waiting for me everyday, he takes me where I want to go and together we discover new places, new friends, and new adventures. I wouldn't trade my Honda for anything in the world, because not only is he my car... he is my friend.
