There are memories behind every mile in a Honda, and we’d love to hear yours. If your odometer has reached a notable milestone, this is the place to share your journey with others who have done the same. Congratulations—not every Honda travels 100,000 miles and beyond. The stories here don’t represent the average expectancy of every Honda. Everyone’s experience is different based on vehicle, driving manner and conditions.

My new '82 Accord was the first of three. I owned it for 14 years, putting on 278,000+ miles. In 1991, overlapping the first by a couple of years, I purchased my second new Accord LX, owning it for 15 years putting on 324,000+ miles. In June of 2006 I replaced it with a new Accord EX-L. Now that I'm retired and not putting on the miles I used to, I figure it will probably be my last one...unless Honda comes out with something I just gotta have :). I have all the receipts for the maintenance of all my vehicles...maybe one day I'll sit down and figure out the total cost of ownership...NOT!

Oh yes - in addition there have also been two Honda Civic Del Sol's in the ex wife is still driving her '94 Del Sol we purchased in 1996 (don't know the mileage, she and it have been gone 10 years) and my daughter just replaced her '93 Del Sol (with approx 115,000 miles) purchased in 1999.

So...are we a Honda family? You bet. I don't understand why anyone would buy anything else.

Sorry but I don't have any pics of the '82 Accord (they didn't have digital cameras in those days) or the Del Sols.

I just bought an 1996 Civic 4dr sedan. I can't remember at this moment, but I think it is an XE? Anyway, just wondering if you have any advice or comments on the difficulty of replacing the timing belt, waterpump, etc. on this vehicle. I would like to avoid the $650.00 cost to have a dealer do it. I thought maybe you have done this at some point. Thanks
