There are memories behind every mile in a Honda, and we’d love to hear yours. If your odometer has reached a notable milestone, this is the place to share your journey with others who have done the same. Congratulations—not every Honda travels 100,000 miles and beyond. The stories here don’t represent the average expectancy of every Honda. Everyone’s experience is different based on vehicle, driving manner and conditions.

My former Honda (#6 of the 7 I've now owned) was a 2000 Civic LX 4 door. I lived in Dallas at the time and drove all over the state of Texas to see clients.

The only "major" repair it ever needed other than regular wear and tear items like brakes, tires, etc was a head gasket (@ 225,000) and my mechanic was blown away to find nearly pristine metal on the head surface after such brutal mileage in such a short time span. He actually took photos to show other customers (he only works on Hondas).

When I traded it (on my current 2003 Accord LX), my Civic had 286,000 miles on it and my mechanic would have bet his house I could easily have driven it another 250K without even breathing hard.

At the time of trade, everything worked perfectly and it had zero squeaks or odd sounds of any kind. Even the automatic transmission was still humming along without any issues.

Honda has always been a wonderful ownership experience for me since 1980 (my first Civic, a hatchback during my grad school days).

If you take care of your Honda, the only reason you'll ever have to trade is if you get the bug for a different car...the one you have will still be driving like a charm.

(Sorry for the stock photo...I just found this site and my Civic was traded 10 years ago! LOL)

BTW, I drive a lot less 2003 Accord LX only has 120K on it...
