Back in 2003 there were a lot of the Honda Civic Hybrids sitting at the Honda dealers. Gas had not spiked yet, which would have motivated drivers to buy the up the existing stock. It took me a lot of research before I was convinced that this was the car for me. I was a Field Service Engineer..I put 40,000 miles a year and needed a very reliable high mileage vehicle. So I negotiated my best deal, and from that day forward I have never regretted my decision. Last year I replaced my first clutch at 287,000 at miles. I have done every oil change (except for the first complementary one done by the dealer.) 0W20 Synthetic oil... Changed manual transmission fluid 3 times..Still on the original Hybrid Battery. On my 3rd 12v battery, and I've lost track of the number of tires...Today Dec. 5 2012 I hit 300,000 miles…There are so many good reasons to buy a Honda.
