In August of 1981 I purchased my Honda Prelude which had less than 10 miles on the odometer, I had been looking at this car for awhile and I knew it was special so you can imagine how I felt when I drove it off the dealer's lot, "sheer ectasy."
A month later I left North Carolina on the first of several trips across country I would take in my Prelude. The trip included stops in Memphis, Hot Springs, AR, The Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite, the California coast, the Redwoods and Seattle WA to mention a few. My most special trip in the Prelude came three years later when my wife and I left the church following our marriage in Colorado. We would take many trips together in the Prelude over the next 30 plus years and see a lot of special places in this country.
The trips have been fun and my Prelude has been dependable and a lot of fun to drive. My Prelude has never let me down which is so important when you are miles from home and driving long streches of lonesome highway. The Prelude's dependability has led me to purchase several Honda Accords all of which were dependale and all of which recorded 100,000 plus miles, in fact in addition to the Prelude we now own a 2004 Honda CR-V. Since the purchase of the Prelude when we are in the market for a vehicle we head to a Honda dealership because Honda has never let us down.
My 1981 Honda Prelude is special and that is why I still own it after 32 years,
