The 1989 Accord, which I bought new, turned 400,000 miles last June (it now has 413,000 miles). To record the occasion I photographed the odometer just before, during and after it turned. Photos of the odometer and the car are enclosed. I replace the engine oil and filter myself every 5,000 miles; every 30,000 miles the car is inspected and serviced; I polish its exterior twice per year. The car gets 35 mpg on the highway with air conditioner off; 31 mpg with it on. Needless to say, I love the car; I plan to drive it until something catastrophic happens - like the engine needs replacing. Then I plan to replace it with a V6 manual shift Accord sedan. The reason I’m telling you this: to thank you for making such a fine product and to provide you with information which you may use to promote Honda reliability.
