There are memories behind every mile in a Honda, and we’d love to hear yours. If your odometer has reached a notable milestone, this is the place to share your journey with others who have done the same. Congratulations—not every Honda travels 100,000 miles and beyond. The stories here don’t represent the average expectancy of every Honda. Everyone’s experience is different based on vehicle, driving manner and conditions.

My 1998 CRV gave me 299,500 trouble-free miles of service until meeting one challenge that it couldn’t really surmount – an adult deer who decided to run across a dark highway near Winterset, Iowa. The photograph shows a momentous occasion that I had been planning for a long time: 222,222 miles on the overall odometer and 222.2 miles on the trip odometer. I think this occasion took place somewhere in South Dakota in August, 2003. Even the deer couldn’t stop the car. I used the incident as an excuse to buy a new CRV (now at 115,000 miles in its own right), but a body shop took the car, still operable, and completely rehabilitated and resold it. Incidentally, beyond its high mileage, the CRV performed admirably in protecting me from the deer collision. I knew something happened because the air bag went off, but was barely jolted in an impact that took place at about 60 miles per hour.
