As the odometer approached the 300K mark days in advance, I told me wife I wanted her to be a part of it seeing as how she has been along for the ride the last 17 years. I specifically drove her to work that day, leaving her 2000 Civic EX at home so she could watch the turning wheels of numbers. 299999 was almost as exciting as 300000!!! I took pictures with my 20D and she with her cellphone. Our friends, who have busted my chops over my car for years, heard the story and were equally amazed and sympathetic, saying we really needed to get a life! But, that car could write a very interesting, steamy, funny, and heart-wrenching book considering it's part in our lives. So as far as the life goes, we have plenty. And with my wife and I moving to Amsterdam for 3 years for work, the car is being donated so hopefully it will add to another's life and be as dependable for them as it was for us!
